Is CoParent Pilot really free?
Yes! We offer forever-free messaging for parents. We don't sell your data, and we don't charge crazy prices for our paid add-ons if you want more features on your free account. We offer individual features and feature packages, but communicating with your co-parent is always free — and will be, forever.
Is my data secure and private?
Yes. We encrypt your information in transit and at rest using AES‑256 encryption. Your co-parent communications are, by design, accessible to the other parent and available for use in court — CoParent Pilot is built to maintain and store parent communications, so there's never any doubt about what was said and when. You can also grant your attorney access to review and print messages with your co-parent more easily. Your communications with your attorney are encrypted and kept private from your co-parent; we don't read, scan, or use them, and access is tightly restricted. Because we operate the encryption, we may be required to disclose content if compelled by valid legal process.
Can the messages be used in court?
Yes. When you export your messages, you'll have the day, time, and communication in an easy-to-read PDF document. Communications with your co-parent cannot be edited or deleted. CoParent Pilot preserves your communications in a way that makes authentication for the court easy — export some or all of your conversation to an easy-to-read PDF.
How do I invite my co-parent?
When you sign up, you'll be asked to enter your case number. Your case number is used to match you with your co-parent. Once you and your co-parent are connected, you'll be able to access our chat for FREE. As long as you have your case number, you can easily find and connect to your co-parent.
Can my attorney access the platform?
Yes. Attorneys can be invited by a parent to view co-parent communications and to communicate directly with you on our secure, encrypted platform. Attorneys can also request documents from you through our platform — you can upload documents, screenshots, and photos directly to your counsel as requested. CoParent Pilot is designed to make your co-parenting and preparation for a court hearing as organized and coordinated as possible.
